Following the calendar below is a brief recap of the regularly scheduled genealogy events in SecondLife.
- Every Sunday Evening – Family History Chat or DNA Study Group:
Casual conversations on the front porch of the Family History Centre in SecondLife – anything and everything genealogy related. Don’t know where to begin? Stuck at a “brick wall”? Everyone is invited. 1st & 3rd Sundays are for DNA; 2nd & 4th Sundays are casual chats.
- First Monday – Meet & Greet:
A casual meeting on SL navigation, changing clothes, teleporting, and other basics to help newcomers get comfortable in SecondLife. At the Just Genealogy fire pit.
- Second Thursday – SL Chapter APG meeting:
Everyone is invited to attend the award-winning Second Life chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists meetings. Quality speakers and presentations, volunteer opportunities, and wonderful camaraderie. Anyone may attend, however only APG members may vote on chapter business. At the JustGenealogy fire pit.
- Fourth Thursday – NGSQ Study Group:
Ellington Sweeney hosts discussion on topics and articles from the National Genealogical Society Quarterly. At the JustGenealogy fire pit.
